Is Medical Cannabis Right for You?
Medical cannabis may be considered for patients living with qualifying conditions where conventional treatments have not provided adequate relief or have caused unwanted side effects.
Our specialist clinicians assess every patient individually to determine whether medical cannabis is an appropriate treatment option based on your medical history, symptoms and treatment goals.
Therapeutic Focus
Our specialists provide highly tailored medical cannabis treatments across a broad spectrum of complex and chronic conditions. Explore the indications we commonly support.
Migraine
This complex neurological disorder is a lot more than severe, debilitating head pain. It can come with other symptoms, such as tiredness, changes in mood, and dizziness.
Autism
People with autism experience the world differently. Many may find it challenging to communicate with others, engage in repetitive behaviours, get overwhelmed by bright lights or loud noises, and can sometimes feel anxious or stressed.
Epilepsy
This condition affects the brain and causes seizures, sometimes known as fits, that can last anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
MS affects the brain and spinal cord. Some of the common symptoms include fatigue, feeling dizzy, and muscle cramps. These symptoms can appear suddenly (a flare-up) and can get worse over time.
Parkinson’s
Usually people over 50 are affected by this condition where parts of the brain become progressively damaged. This loss of brain cells can lead to symptoms such as tremors, slow movement, and stiff muscles.
ADHD
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder affects how someone thinks and behaves. Broadly, it plays out in one of three ways:
- Hyperactive & impulsive: Loud, restless, can be disruptive.
- Inattentive: Easily distracted, often bored, disorganised.
- Combined type: A mix of the two.
Anxiety
Fear, worry, unease, even dread can be natural reactions to stressful situations. But for some, anxiety is more than a passing feeling, and when symptoms persist, this can heavily affect daily life.
Depression
Depression can be a common, yet serious, debilitating mood disorder. Symptoms can range from persistent low mood and lethargy to an unshakeable feeling that life itself is not worth living.
PTSD
Usually associated with witnessing or experiencing severe trauma. Symptoms include recurring, intrusive memories or nightmares, persistent feelings of guilt, fear or anger, and reckless behaviour.
OCD
People with this condition develop obsessive and compulsive behaviours. Obsessive thoughts or urges cause unease, while a compulsion is a repetitive act that helps relieve these thoughts.
Insomnia
Someone suffering from insomnia will regularly struggle to get a good night's sleep. No matter your age, gender, or occupation, sleep is essential in allowing us to function day-to-day.
Back Pain
This common physical complaint affects millions worldwide. It is the leading cause of disability in the UK, affecting about 11% of the population and significantly impacting quality of life.
Fibromyalgia
This common chronic condition causes widespread pain all over the body. Symptoms can suddenly improve, then get worse, and this unpredictability can negatively impact day-to-day life.
Arthritis
This occurs when the joints become inflamed, causing pain. There are lots of different types of arthritis, but two of the most common types are osteoarthritis followed by rheumatoid arthritis.
Cancer Related
Research suggests medical cannabis can potentially be used alongside treatments like chemotherapy to ease symptoms such as neuropathic pain, nausea, inflammation, anxiety, and to improve appetite.
Crohn’s Disease
An inflammatory bowel disease causing inflammation in the digestive tract. This lifelong condition can flare-up at any time with symptoms like abdominal pain, fatigue, weight loss, and reduced appetite.
Ulcerative Colitis
An inflammatory bowel disease that causes inflammation and ulcers in the colon and rectum. Symptoms like abdominal pain, fatigue, and weight loss can massively affect overall quality of life.
Endometriosis
This condition causes cells similar to those in the lining of the womb to grow in other parts of the body. Symptoms include severe period pain, extreme tiredness, difficulty getting pregnant, and low mood.
Menopause
When hormone levels decrease, causing periods to stop, you’re going through menopause. Common symptoms include anxiety, mood swings, brain fog, hot flushes, and irregular periods.
Pre-Menstrual Dysphoria
Also known as PMDD, this is a much more severe form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). It comes with many severe symptoms including depression, anxiety, mood swings, and lack of energy.
Don't See Your Condition?
We assess every patient individually, and this is not a complete list of the conditions we may consider.
If your condition isn’t listed, we still encourage you to complete our eligibility assessment. Our clinical team will review your medical history and advise whether medical cannabis may be an appropriate treatment option.
